This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information Cannova AI collects, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Who we are
Cannova AI is an online-only business based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We build websites and AI tools for local businesses. For anything about your privacy, email us at cannovaai@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- What you send us: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message.
- Project details: information about your business that you share so we can build your website or services.
We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website.
3. How the contact form works
Our contact form does not store anything on this website. When you press “Send request”, it opens your own email app with a message addressed to cannovaai@gmail.com. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app.
4. Why we use your information
- To reply to you and set up a call.
- To provide and support the services you ask for, and to bill for them.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
We only collect what we need. We never sell or rent your information.
5. Your consent
When you tick the consent box and email us, you agree that we may use your information to answer your inquiry. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing cannovaai@gmail.com.
6. Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
- Google (Gmail) handles our email, so messages you send us are stored in our Gmail account.
These providers may store data outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don’t turn into a project: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Client information: kept while we work together, then up to 6 years for tax and accounting records, as Canadian tax rules require.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we have to keep it by law.
8. How we protect it
We use strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available, and give access only to people who need it.
9. Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Withdraw your consent.
